Our longest-running exchange
Spend ten days in Port Vila, where five mornings in a local school place you alongside Ni-Vanuatu teachers to observe, co-teach and share practice, before the group designs and delivers a full day of professional development for local educators. Global Teacher works with the Ministry of Education and the Shefa Education Office to arrange placements close to the accommodation, afternoons stay free, and two excursion days take in Lelepa Island and the lagoons, waterfalls and villages of Efate.

Extra nights: Additional nights can be added when booking on WeTravel (A$148 twin share / A$296 private room per night). Vanuatu can be more expensive than expected for meals and optional activities, so it is worth budgeting accordingly.

Ilana and Sheridan are experienced primary educators who have co-led the Vanuatu program together multiple times. Ilana is a K–6 teacher from Sydney with Global Teacher experience across Vanuatu, Bali and Thailand, while Sheridan lived in Vanuatu as a child and brings experience across Kindergarten to Year 5 and school leadership. Together, they bring a strong connection to Vanuatu and extensive Global Teacher experience.
