Professional Exchange Program Vs Professional Learning Program

Which program is right for you?

Global Teacher offers two distinctive professional development experiences abroad — the Professional Exchange Program (PEP) and the Professional Learning Program (PLP). Both are designed to broaden your perspective, enrich your practice and contribute meaningfully, but they differ in structure, depth and focus.

PEP

The Professional Exchange Program is for educators seeking meaningful professional growth through direct collaboration with local teachers and schools. It includes school placements, where participants work alongside local educators in the classroom and deliver peer-led professional development — part of a 50-hour accredited program focused on collaboration, reflection and impact.

PLP

The Professional Learning Program suits those seeking a more flexible, exploratory experience. It's open to all educators, regardless of experience, and blends school visits, leadership discussions, education system insights and cultural immersion. Participants earn a 20-hour professional development certificate.
