Here's a detailed itinerary for our program on Gili T:
Day 1 - Arrival & Transfer to Gili T
- Meet the team in Bali at the international airport or your hotel, then transfer to the coast for a fast boat to Gili T, where you’ll settle into your luxury island accommodation and meet the team for an evening orientation and dinner.
Day 2 - Private Boat & Island Hopping Experience
- Enjoy a private or small-group boat experience exploring the Gili Islands. Spend the day snorkelling in crystal-clear waters, stopping at secluded beaches, and taking in the stunning coastal scenery. The experience can finish with a relaxed sunset on the water — a perfect way to unwind and connect with the group.
Day 3 - Lombok Day Trip: Culture & Nature
- Take a day trip to nearby Lombok, travelling by boat before exploring the Mount Rinjani National Park region. Visit waterfalls, traditional villages, and monkey forests while experiencing local culture and landscapes.
Days 4-8 - Local School Placement:
- Transport to and from your local school.
- Collaboration with team members and local teachers in a 5-day teacher training program.
- Afternoons are free to explore Gili T—from beaches and sunsets to night markets, bike rides, yoga, snorkelling, cooking classes, or simply relaxing at your luxury island accommodation. Our team will ensure you are well supported throughout.
Day 9 - Professional Development Workshop:
- Transport to and from the workshop venue.
- Presentation of workshops focusing on various teaching strategies to local teachers.
- Training on leadership skills for workshop presentations.
- Day begins with an opening ceremony, including the national anthem, and concludes with a certificate presentation.
- Morning tea and lunch provided by Global Teacher for team members and local teachers.
Day 10 - Departure:
- After breakfast, you’ll be transferred by speed boat back to Bali with an included transfer to the international airport or hotel.

Things to consider
- Travel to Gili Trawangan will typically involve flying into Bali. To ensure a smooth transfer on arrival day, you may need to book an early flight or arrive in Bali the day prior.
- Classes and schools may have changes to their schedule with short notice. The team leader is constantly working to ensure that we are able to keep to the itinerary as much as possible.
