The Global Teacher program has been approved by the Ministry of Education Fiji and we have partnered with the University of the South Pacific. We are now ready to confirm initial dates once travel restrictions ease. As a team member you will be supported in every aspect of the program from the very start till the end. The initial program is planned for 10 days and will occur during September school holidays. Program itinerary
- Day 1- Day of arrival, meet the team, get settled and attend orientation meetings.
- Day 2-6 - 5 days of teacher training in local schools. Including observations, modelling, planning, reflection and feedback. You will be supported at your local school by other Australian volunteers and a team leader who will travel between schools. Training and specific details on how to approach each day will be provided.
- Day 7- Professional development workshop collaborated by participants and presented to local teachers.
- Day 8-9 - 2 days of excursions to learn about the local culture and explore the wonders of the beautiful Fiji islands.
- Day 10 - Day of departure, debriefing and farewell.
